How To Become A King

Would you like to learn how to become a king? You will receive a crown if you do this since it is one of the most important commands in the entire Bible especially for us in this day and age:

So the eleven disciples went to Galilee to the mountain Jesus had designated. When they saw him, they worshiped him, but some doubted. Then Jesus came up and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Taken from Matthew 28, verses 16-20 (NET Bible).

How important is it for you to see people saved from their eternal destination without Christ Jesus? I have heard a very eye-opening statement and will share it with you: "The only thing you can take to heaven with you is souls." I like to say, "There is only one thing you can take to heaven with you; souls." Can you imagine all the items, treasures, objects, clothes, toys, gadgets and junk that we have accumulated through the years? We can NOT take any of it with us. I have heard some people say they want to be buried with such and such an object but do they actually believe that it will appear in their eternal destination when they do?  I should say not. There are much better, more precious, eternal things to receive in the heavenly kingdom. In fact, they are of a quality of perfection you would have a hard time imagining here on earth since there is no example of that type of purity, that type of perfection for us to compare against.

Remain faithful even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown that is life itself. Taken from Revelation 2 verse 10. That is the last part of the verse and I am using it to show you that you can receive a crown. Crowns are given to kings. A kingship gives you ruling authority over a specific area. What better area to rule over than life itself. If we remain faithful to God we can have ruling authority over life. We will not die as a sinner will (that is another lengthy subject). My hope, my prayer is that we will not want to see anyone go the way of the sinner or go to the place destined for the sinner. We should all be anxious to bring people to the knowledge of Christ and see them saved from a life of sin and death (speaking of a spirtual death).

Thus I grant to you a kingdom, just as my Father granted to me, that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Taken from Luke 22 verses 29-30.

A 1914 edition of Bouvier's Law Dictionary states this definition:
'I cannot find any better definition of monarchy than what this is: a monarchy is the government which is ruled by one person, who is wholly set apart from all other members of the state's (called his subjects); while we call republic that government in which not only there exists an organism by which the opinion of the people, or of a portion of the people (as in aristocracies), passes over into public will, that is, law, but in which also the supreme power, or the executive power, returns, either periodically or at stated times (where the chief magistracy is for life), to the people, or a portion of the people, to be given anew to another person; or else, that government in which the hereditary portion (if there be any) is not the chief and leading portion of the government, as was the case in the Netherlands.
We have come to know love by this: that Jesus laid down his life for us; thus we ought to lay down our lives for our fellow Christians. But whoever has the world’s possessions and sees his fellow Christian in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God reside in such a person? Taken from 1 John 3 verses 16-17.

For God so loved the WORLD (the people in it) that He gave His one and only son to die for our sins (has anyone every died for you before?) so that WHOEVER believes should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16.

Ephesians 1:4-6: For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will -- to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.

As you can see, God chose us before creation and predestined us to be adopted as his sons and daughters. He is the established King of kings of kings and Lord of lords of lords (for some men have been called king of kings in the past and God is King of them all, Lord of them all). As sons and daughters, we receive a promised inheritance to the throne. Therefore we become kings. Ask Jesus to come into your heart, to forgive you of your sins, and acknowledge Him as the Supreme being of all. He will answer your prayer and you will become an adopted son or daughter into the Heavenly kingdom that does not perish or fade away. Believe that it is so.

Hallelujah!
